Vente-unique.com Acquires Habitat for €11M Aiming for Premium Segment
Vente-unique.com has completed the acquisition of the Habitat brands, which have been operated under license since April 2024, from its parent company CAFOM Group. This transaction, valued at €11M and approved by the respective boards of directors, is part of the online furniture sales platform's strategy to premiumize its offerings.
CAFOM Group and its subsidiary Vente-unique.com have finalized the sale of the Habitat brands for a total amount of €11M. An independent expert, jointly mandated by both companies, established this valuation after analyzing the brands in France and internationally, excluding Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Israel. This transaction follows the exercise of the purchase option that Vente-unique.com received in April 2024 when signing a three-year license. During its first fiscal year ending on September 30, 2025, the Habitat brand generated a revenue of €10M, meeting management's expectations.

Vente-unique.com will finance this acquisition through its available resources, which include €32.1M in cash as of the end of September 2025, supplemented by a bank loan. This operation strengthens the group's strategy to build a comprehensive platform addressing all segments of the furniture market in Europe: the premium segment through the Habitat brand, the mid-range with Vente-unique.com's own brand, and the complementary segments of decoration and accessories through the marketplace.
Strategic Developments Post-Acquisition
Since its launch as a brand operated by Vente-unique.com in 2024, Habitat has introduced a new collection and has progressively expanded internationally. The group emphasizes its nearly 20 years of expertise in online furniture sales, combined with the recognition of the Habitat brand for its design and high-end positioning.
