Accor Unveils 'Hosting Change', Its Sustainability Plan Through 2030
On Tuesday, Accor introduced its new sustainability plan named 'Hosting Change', structured around four strategic pillars and designed to generate shared value within its global hotel network until 2030.
Four Strategic Pillars for the 2026-2030 Period
The 'Hosting Change' roadmap is based on four main axes. The first, 'Ensure Future-Proof Places', focuses on innovation in energy efficiency and circular economy, including decarbonization, water and waste management, as well as responsible design of facilities.
The second pillar, 'Empower All Talent', targets the empowerment of teams, respect for human rights, diversity, and professional growth within the workforce.
The third, 'Elevate the Guest Experience', aims to reinvent the dining offer and ensure memorable, sustainable, and accessible stays, meeting customer expectations regarding third-party certifications and sustainable food.
The fourth axis, 'Engage Broader Ecosystems', commits the group to work with suppliers, support local communities, and protect biodiversity in operational territories.
Alignment with the Group's Asset-Light Model
Coline Pont, Accor's Director of Sustainability, specified that the plan defines measurable commitments for 2030 and is fully aligned with the group's asset-light model, designed to generate shared value across the entire network.
The 'Hosting Change' plan also reflects the group's mission stated as 'Pioneering the art of responsible hospitality, connecting cultures, with heartfelt care'. This roadmap aims to provide owners and partners with a clear trajectory to exceed sustainability standards and enhance brand reputation, operational resilience, and financial performance.
