Airbus Helicopters Sells Six H145s to Armenia, a First Contract with Yerevan
Airbus Helicopters signed a contract on Thursday with the Republic of Armenia for the purchase of six H145 helicopters. The deal was finalized during the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Yerevan and represents the entry of the Caucasian nation into the European manufacturer's client portfolio.
A First Contract Signifying the Opening of the Armenian Market
The contract signed on Thursday involves the acquisition of six H145s for transport missions. This initial Armenian order from Airbus Helicopters reflects a modernization of the country's air transport capabilities. The six twin-engine H145 helicopters offer increased payload, enhanced flight comfort, and a simplified maintenance regime, suited to the operational requirements of mountainous terrain and the high altitudes characteristic of Armenian geography.

The Features of the H145 and its Global Deployment
The H145 is a versatile helicopter known for its performance in high-altitude and intense heat environments. Powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines, it incorporates a full digital engine control system (FADEC) and the Helionix digital avionics suite, including a high-performance four-axis autopilot.
With more than 1,800 units of the H145 family in global service and a total exceeding 8.5 million flight hours, the aircraft stands as a proven solution. The H145 is distinguished by its particularly low acoustic signature, making it the quietest helicopter in its class, while its CO2 emissions remain the lowest among its direct competitors.
