ALTEN's Stock Price Surpasses €60, Challenging Technical Resistance
The engineering and technology consulting specialist jumps at the opening of the session on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, to €60.20, in a well-oriented Parisian market. The CAC 40 gains 1.36% during the session, and the SBF 120 advances by 1.32%. This movement brings the stock back to a key graphical threshold that has been worked on for several weeks.
A Breakthrough to Be Confirmed at the €60 Resistance
For the first time in several sessions, the ALTEN stock surpasses the resistance level identified at €60, previously tested unsuccessfully at the end of April when the stock had fallen back to €58.55 the following day. The price is now moving in the upper range of the Bollinger Bands, close to the upper limit set at €61.45.
The rebound confirms the momentum that began in early May, after crossing above the 50-day moving average at €56.80. The RSI at 53 remains in the neutral zone, leaving room before an overbought signal. The 200-day moving average, at €66.56, remains significantly above the current price, reflecting the medium-term bearish pressure: the stock is still down 20.11% over one year and 16.62% over three months.
A Quarterly Report That Still Weighs on the Narrative
The rebound occurs a few days after the publication of the first quarter 2026 revenue figures at the end of April, which had weighed on the stock price. During the financial statement release at the end of September 2025, ALTEN had confirmed it was expecting an organic decline between 5.2% and 5.5% for the whole of 2025, with an operating margin expected to be between 8% and 8.1% of revenue.
Among the tension areas identified during this publication, the group had pointed out the decline in the Automotive sector and the slowdown in Telecoms, Electronics, and the Public sector. Conversely, Defense, Naval, Energy, and Rail were still indicated as drivers, complemented by three international acquisitions. The next official date on the calendar: the general assembly on June 18, followed by the second quarter 2026 revenue figures on July 28.
