Atos Completes the Sale of Bull to the French State for 404 Million Euros

Details of the Transaction

Atos Group has sold Bull, its Advanced Computing division, to the French state for an enterprise value of 404 million euros, which includes 104 million euros of conditional price supplements. The share purchase agreement was signed on July 31, 2025. The scope of the transaction was adjusted since the initial signing: zData, which specializes in consulting and Big Data solutions, was excluded from the sale. This change led to a revision of the conditional price supplements from 110 million euros to 104 million euros, thus reducing the enterprise value from 410 million euros to 404 million euros. The sold business included the High-Performance Computing (HPC) & Quantum divisions as well as the Business Computing & Artificial Intelligence divisions. In 2025, it generated revenue of approximately 0.7 billion euros.

Following this sale, Eviden, Atos' branch dedicated to products and systems, now includes cybersecurity products, critical systems, and AI-enhanced video analytics. Its pro forma revenue from the sale of the Advanced Computing activity was approximately 0.3 billion euros for the fiscal year 2025. Atos Group states that the transaction was structured to ensure complete continuity of services for Bull's clients and employees. The French state becomes the sole shareholder of Bull.

Strategic Reorientation of Atos Group

Atos Group includes this divestiture as part of the execution of its strategic plan aimed at refocusing its activities on its strategic markets. The group justifies this reorganization by its desire to strengthen its positioning in cybersecurity, critical systems, and digital services. Atos Group employs nearly 61,000 people and has an annual revenue of nearly 7.2 billion euros pro forma of the sale of the Advanced Computing activities.
