Bigben Interactive Postpones Publication of its 2025-2026 Annual Accounts
On July 20, Bigben Interactive announced the postponement of the publication of its annual accounts for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, due to certification issues arising from complications related to the conciliation procedure initiated in March. The company, which is undergoing financial restructuring and negotiating the sale of its Bigben Connected division, reported a 2.3% decrease in revenue for the first quarter of 2026/2027, with sectoral disparities: gaming up, mobile accessories significantly down.
An Administrative Delay Revealing Significant Challenges
Bigben Interactive will not be able to publish its annual financial report by the deadline set by the Monetary and Financial Code (July 31, 2026). The certification of the company's individual and consolidated accounts for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, has not been finalized to date, the company states. This blockage occurs in the context of a conciliation procedure opened by the Lille Métropole Commercial Court on March 4, 2026, and an overall restructuring process. The company announces that it will request an extension of the deadline for holding the ordinary general meeting to approve the accounts until December 31, 2026. The updated schedule will be communicated 'as soon as possible'. This additional delay suggests that the restructuring efforts and ongoing discussions with financial creditors complicate the technical closure of the accounts. Meanwhile, the divestiture operation of Bigben Connected (initiated on June 25 with Modelabs) impacts the audit processes.
Q1 2026/2027: Gaming Holds Strong, Mobile Accessories Falter
The group's revenue for the first quarter of 2026/2027 amounted to €55.2 million, a decrease of 2.3% compared to €56.5 million in the first quarter of 2025/2026. This overall contraction masks very different trajectories across divisions. Nacon Gaming recorded a 4.1% increase, reaching €32.6 million. The Games division saw a growth of 13.8% to €22.4 million, driven by the strong performance of the Back Catalogue (games released in previous fiscal years) which grew by 32% to €18.5 million, benefiting from releases made during the previous fiscal year. New titles in the catalogue (€3.9 million) reflect 'a limited number of releases for the period', including Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, Tour de France 26, and Pro Cycling Manager 26; the performances of Tour de France improve year over year, the company notes. Conversely, Bigben Audio-Video/Telco fell by 10.3% to €22.6 million. This drop mainly stems from mobile accessories (€17.9 million compared to €20.4 million a year earlier, a −15.4% decrease), reflecting 'a lack of dynamics in the mobile market with a low point reached during the period'. The audio-video activity remains almost stable (€4.7 million versus €4.8 million), benefiting from strong demand for the Thomson range. The company anticipates that mobile accessories should benefit in the second quarter from 'the release of new smartphones with innovative designs'.
