BNP Paribas Aims to Double its Asset Management Profits by 2030
BNP Paribas unveils its 2030 Strategic Plan for its Asset Management platform, aiming to double its pre-tax earnings by 2030. Following the acquisition of AXA IM, the integrated and large-scale platform is set to significantly contribute to the Group's profitability trajectory.
Strategic Development Axes
The plan is based on four development axes: strengthening leadership in alternative assets, large-scale deployment of active management and acceleration of ETFs, expanding partnerships with insurers and institutional investors, and accelerating growth in the Retail and Wealth Management customer base. BNP Paribas Asset Management now operates on a large scale across Europe, managing over 1,600 billion euros in assets, with comprehensive coverage by asset class and a wide range of distribution strategies.
Plan Execution
The execution of the plan will rely on achieving approximately 150 million euros in revenue synergies and about 400 million euros in cost synergies by 2029, through platform convergence, fund range rationalization, and operational efficiency gains. The deployment of artificial intelligence across the entire value chain—from client advisory and asset allocation to operational efficiency—will enhance the platform's technological capabilities and customer service.
