Bouygues Drops 1.74% at Mid-Session Monday Amid Telecom Negotiations
Bouygues has declined by 1.74% this Monday mid-session to 44.49 euros, continuing the technical consolidation that began on Friday following the confirmation of discussions with Altice, Orange, and Free-Iliad for the potential acquisition of a major part of SFR's telecom activities.
Continued Decline Amid Market Caution
Bouygues' stock has fallen 1.74% this Monday mid-session to 44.49 euros, continuing the consolidation movement that began last Friday. The stock had closed last week with a decline of 1.74%, hampered by investor caution despite last Thursday's confirmation of ongoing discussions with Orange and Free-Iliad for the purchase of Altice France. Technically, the price is now approaching the support threshold at 43.13 euros, while the 50-day moving average is slightly below at 43.79 euros. The RSI at 44 indicates a neutral positioning with room to maneuver before reaching an oversold zone, suggesting that the stock could find support in the upcoming sessions. The lower Bollinger Band at 43.88 euros also represents a level to watch if the correction continues.
Long-Term Momentum with Spectacular Annual Performance
The conglomerate continues its long-term dynamics with a spectacular annual performance of 45.58%, confirming the structural interest of investors in the stock. Over three months, the increase amounts to 8.91%, demonstrating a solidly entrenched upward trend despite short-term fluctuations. Regarding analyst recommendations, Citigroup raised its price target to 47.80 euros on January 13 with a neutral recommendation, while Morgan Stanley has been targeting 49 euros since January 7 with a market-weight stance. These targets offer a potential upside of 7 to 10% from the current level. The group will publish its annual 2025 results on February 26, a key date to assess the impact of the strategic reorganization launched at the beginning of January with the creation of a Construction Division grouping Colas, Bouygues Construction, and Bouygues Immobilier.
