Capgemini Announces Divestiture of a US Subsidiary
Capgemini has announced its intention to divest a US subsidiary that conducts classified activities for federal entities. The group justifies this decision by the inability to exercise appropriate control over this entity due to US legal constraints.
Legal Constraints and Operational Control
Capgemini believes that the legal constraints imposed in the United States for contracting with federal entities conducting classified activities do not allow it to exercise appropriate control over certain aspects of its subsidiary's operations. This situation would prevent the group from ensuring alignment with its strategic objectives.
Divestiture Process Initiation
The divestiture process for this entity will be initiated immediately. According to the press release, this subsidiary represents 0.4% of the group's estimated revenue for 2025 and less than 2% of its US revenue.
