Capgemini Expands Its Strategic Partnership with Google Cloud
Capgemini has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to provide end-to-end secure sovereign cloud solutions. This collaboration aims to assist clients in adopting Google Cloud's artificial intelligence technologies, including Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise.
Enhanced Delivery of Secure Sovereign Cloud Solutions
The partnership between Capgemini and Google Cloud focuses on the delivery of secure and integrated sovereign cloud solutions. Capgemini will assist clients in adopting Google Cloud's AI technologies, including Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, while protecting classified data and workloads in a secure environment. The agreement allows joint clients to choose their sovereignty model from Google Cloud, Google Cloud Dedicated, and Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) in air-gapped mode. Capgemini has achieved GDC partner status and has qualified as an authorized GDC air-gapped operator.
Establishment of a Google Sovereign Cloud Delivery Practice and Center of Excellence
Capgemini plans to establish a Google Sovereign Cloud Delivery Practice and a Center of Excellence (CoE) aimed at providing advice and services that meet the specific sovereign requirements of joint clients. This structure will enable the secure modernization of critical applications and infrastructures, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments, while adhering to strict data residency mandates. Capgemini has enhanced its capabilities through the recent acquisitions of Syniti, a specialist in large-scale SAP data transformation, and Cloud4C, a provider of automated managed services for hybrid and sovereign cloud environments.
Fully Operated Sovereign Service Model
With its newly acquired status as a GDC partner and as an authorized GDC air-gapped operator, Capgemini can provide a fully operated sovereign service model. This offering constitutes a fully managed experience designed for organizations requiring complete isolation from the public internet to meet sovereignty and regulatory compliance requirements on European markets. The partnership supports critical missions by enabling secure logistics planning, threat analysis, and operational decision-making support using data fully contained within the secure enclave.
