Crédit Agricole Assurances and IDIA Capital Investissement announce the creation of the 'Crédit Agricole Assurances Avenir et Territoires' fund, with an initial investment capacity of 100 million euros. Managed by IDIA Capital Investissement and classified as Article 8 under SFDR regulations, this Evergreen fund aims to finance French SMEs and mid-cap companies in their long-term equity and quasi-equity needs, according to the press release.
Objectives and Strategic Focus of the New Fund
The 'Crédit Agricole Assurances Avenir et Territoires' fund aims to finance French companies across diverse sectors, as stated by the group. It is designed to strengthen their equity, fund their growth drivers and competitiveness, and ensure the transmission and sustainability of their capital. The scheme also aims to support companies in their ecological, energy, and digital transitions. According to the press release, the fund leverages the proximity of LCL networks and regional Caisses with the territories, as well as their capital investment structures. It is based on a systematic co-investment strategy with regional vehicles and funds already managed by IDIA Capital Investissement, such as Crédit Agricole Régions Développement, LCL Croissance, 3AI, and 2EBC.

According to the group, selecting IDIA Capital Investissement as the management company allows Crédit Agricole Assurances to offer SME and mid-cap company leaders substantial extra-financial support, beyond equity contributions. This support focuses on strategic levers such as ESG performance, cybersecurity, digitalization, and external growth. Nicolas Denis, CEO of Crédit Agricole Assurances, states that this new fund reaffirms the insurer's commitment to the development of SMEs and mid-cap companies throughout France. Grégory Erphelin, Deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole S.A., notes that since 2022, French companies have increasingly expressed the need to strengthen their equity and prepare for major transitions.
