ID Logistics Secures Contract with General Mills for Dry Food Products in France
ID Logistics announced on Monday that it has won a partnership with General Mills for all logistics and distribution operations of the food giant's dry products in France. The Toury site (Eure-et-Loir), operational since January 2026, provides an integrated solution combining logistics and transportation.
A Modernized Site for General Mills' Dry Food Logistics
ID Logistics is handling the complete logistics and distribution operations for General Mills' dry products in France. The partnership aligns with General Mills France's strategy to enhance performance, service quality, and supply chain visibility by consolidating its dry products at a single, modernized, and dedicated site.
The Toury site, located at the heart of a strategic logistics hub, manages all warehousing, order preparation, co-packing, and distribution operations. The partnership includes a structured and robust system to measure and monitor the carbon footprint of operations, committing both partners to jointly reduce the environmental impact of their logistics activities.
Capacity and Operations at the Toury Site
The site spans 18,000 m² and features 18 loading docks. It handles up to 17,000 pallets in storage and nearly 8 million parcels annually. A team of 30 employees, recruited locally or through ID Logistics' internal mobility programs, oversees the operations.
By integrating logistics and transportation, ID Logistics manages all prepared volumes according to a transportation plan that combines parcel services, LTL and FTL deliveries to General Mills' customers in France. This setup covers distribution across the entire network of large retail outlets in France, with over 9,000 shipments per year and more than 107,000 pallets delivered. Deployed IT systems ensure real-time visibility of backorders and complete traceability of flows, from site departure to final delivery.
Certified Infrastructure and Deployed Innovations
The building, certified BREEAM Excellent, meets the highest environmental standards. It is equipped with photovoltaic panels on the roof covering a significant part of the energy needs, intelligent LED and zenithal lighting maximizing natural light, and a rainwater recovery system.
ID Logistics has deployed several innovations to ensure reliability and safety: an automated barcode reading system Free Scan on forklifts, Hit-Not technology preventing collisions between pedestrians and handling equipment, e-Beacon terminals ensuring traceability of loading, and Starlink connectivity guaranteeing continuous data exchange. These solutions, already implemented at other FMCG sites of General Mills, enhance productivity while strengthening team safety.
