L'Oréal Launches Its 6th Employee Share Ownership Plan with a 20% Discount
L'Oréal announces the launch of its sixth employee savings plan aimed at its employees. This scheme, renewed annually since 2018, offers employees the opportunity to purchase company shares at a 20% discount along with an employer contribution.
A Savings Plan Deployed in 63 Countries
The plan will be implemented in all countries where it is feasible, totaling 63 nations. It will cover a maximum of 300,000 shares, similar to last year's offer. Beneficiaries will be able to purchase L'Oréal shares using a standard formula, where the value of their investment will vary based on the stock market price. They will also benefit from an employer contribution, subject to the conditions outlined in the plan's documentation.
Schedule and Participation Details
The subscription period will extend from June 10, 2026, to June 24, 2026. The settlement will take place on July 30, 2026. The subscription price was set on June 5, 2026, and corresponds to the average opening price of L'Oréal shares on Euronext Paris over the preceding twenty trading days, reduced by a 20% discount. The purchased shares, registered nominally, as well as units in the employee savings mutual fund, will be locked for a period of five years, except in cases of early release as provided by French regulations and applicable in other countries where the offer is made.
Benefits for Employees and the Company
This employee share ownership plan not only facilitates financial participation of employees in the company's growth but also strengthens their sense of belonging and loyalty to the company. By aligning the interests of employees with those of the company, L'Oréal aims to foster a more motivated and committed workforce, which is crucial for sustaining long-term growth and competitiveness.
