La Française de l'Énergie Reports €22M in Revenue Over Nine Months and Confirms 2030 Goals
La Française de l'Énergie reported a revenue of €22M for the first nine months of fiscal year 2026, remaining stable compared to the same period in 2025. Despite this stability, a more nuanced reality is revealed: the third quarter saw a 23% decline compared to 2025, offset by strong growth in the first and second quarters. Meanwhile, the group continues major investments aimed at doubling its green electricity production capacity and generating an additional €60M in revenue over the next three years.
Revenue Breakdown and Performance
The nine-month revenue is broken down into €7.1M from gas sales and €9.0M from electricity sales, reflecting robust activity in these segments. In the third quarter, gas sales increased by 15%, while electricity sales rose by 8%. This growth is attributed to the simultaneous increase in volumes and prices amid the energy shock since late February 2026, as well as the return to normal availability of the NaTran network. Meanwhile, activities in Norway amounted to €5.8M over the nine months, growing by 15% over the period. However, the third quarter of 2026 recorded revenues of €7.5M, a 23% decrease from the third quarter of 2025 (€9.8M), revealing quarterly volatility despite annual stability.
Strategic Infrastructure Programs
Far from being content with this stability, FDE is deploying two extensive infrastructure programs. In France, following the signing of the Mine Gas agreement in January 2026 with the government, the group launched operational tests on an additional 18 mining sites. A contract for the purchase of 16 production units from Clarke Energy—described as the largest ever signed by FDE for this activity—secures the deployment and doubling of green electricity production over the next three years. In Norway, three projects for the production of Renewable Natural Gas and Bio-CO2 are under construction, with the first unit expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2027. These investment programs are expected to generate over €60M in additional revenue and an additional annualized EBITDA of over €30M. The group has also initiated measurement work on the natural hydrogen well PTH-2 in Moselle, aiming for reserve certification in 2027, a platform of innovation expected to create additional value in the long term.
Reaffirming 2030 Objectives
La Française de l'Énergie confirms its 2030 targets: a revenue exceeding €175M and an EBITDA over €85M, as well as the avoidance of more than 20 million tons of CO2 equivalent emissions per year. These prospects are based on the belief that the European energy crisis validates the group's strategy, focused on the production of non-intermittent low-carbon energy and its role in energy sovereignty. The next update will be the publication of the annual 2026 revenue, scheduled for July 21, 2026.
