Michelin Guide 2026: Four New Stars Awarded to Quebec Restaurants
On Monday, the Michelin Guide released its 2026 selection of Quebec restaurants, awarding four new establishments with a Michelin Star and three others with the Green Michelin Star for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy. The complete selection features 121 addresses across the province.
Four New Starred Restaurants in Quebec's Second Vintage
L'Auberge Saint-Mathieu (Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc, creative cuisine), Hoogan and Beaufort (Montreal, modern cuisine), Le Clan (Quebec, regional/modern cuisine), and Sushi Nishinokaze (Montreal, Japanese cuisine) have been awarded their first Michelin Star. Tanière (Quebec) retains its two Michelin Stars for the second consecutive year. Michelin inspectors also designated three new restaurants for the Green Michelin Star: Coteau (Quebec), Huit 100 Vingt (Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare), and Les Mal-Aimés (Cookshire-Eaton). They join Auberge Saint-Mathieu and Espace Old Mill, two establishments already honored with this distinction that values sustainable gastronomy.
Bib Gourmand and Recommended Establishments
The 2026 selection includes seven new Bib Gourmand restaurants, bringing the total to 23. Additionally, eighteen new establishments have been added to the category of restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide, bringing this category to 85 addresses. The Michelin Guide also announced four special awards: the Exceptional Cocktails Award (Thomas Pélissier, Le Clocher Penché), the Sommelier Award (Hugo Duchesne, Hoogan and Beaufort), the Service Award (Victoria Savoie, Asteur), and the Young Chef Award (Samy Benabed, Auberge Saint-Mathieu).
