Michelin share breaks below its 33.05 € support during the session
The Clermont-based tire manufacturer is among the weakest performers in the CAC 40 in early afternoon trading, in a declining Paris market. The decline is accompanied by a technical breakout, as the stock was already down over the week and the month.
The 33.05 € support gives way and the share falls below its 20 and 50-day moving averages
The price of Michelin stock is down 1.82% at 32.96 €, following a close at 33.57 € the previous day. During the session, the share broke through its 33.05 € support level and remains below it. It is also trading below its 20-day moving average (33.48 €, a deviation of -1.55%) and below its 50-day average (34.14 €, a deviation of -3.46%). The 200-day average, at 32.37 €, remains above the current price, with a deviation of +1.82%.
Over seven days, the share has lost 2.34%, and the decline reaches 4.38% over one month. This movement places Michelin in the lower part of the CAC 40, while the index is down 0.87%. The group had already seen its 34.01 € support break in early September, in a similar Paris market context. The RSI at 48 remains neutral and signals neither seller exhaustion nor overbought conditions.

On the company side, Michelin ResiCare announced on October 7 the installation, at the Ajinomoto site in Somme, of a first production line manufacturing through fermentation an aromatic monomer previously derived from petrochemistry. The facility is expected to start operations in early second quarter 2027. The group also presented the fifth edition of its Michelin Guide Dubai, where Orfali Bros receives two stars.
During its first half 2026 results, published on July 27, the group cited among its risks an unfavorable currency effect of 3.1% on revenues and original equipment markets still depressed. The Michelin brand, however, showed volumes up 5% in replacement tires. Support from the 200-day average, at 32.37 €, is situated at approximately 1.8% below the current price.
