Orange share rebounds 2.5% over the week, but remains down 8% over one month
The telecommunications operator's stock continues its rebound initiated the previous day, in a Paris market oriented upward. It recovers a short-term technical threshold, without however catching up to the levels lost since the start of the school year.
A share that crosses back above its twenty-day moving average
The Orange share gains 0.76% to €14.55 during trading, while the CAC 40 advances 0.4%. The price is now 3.12% above its MA20 (€14.11), while remaining 3.90% below the MA50 and 11.82% below the MA200. The RSI at 49.55 is neutral: the movement resembles a consolidation after the decline rather than a reversal. This rebound follows that of the previous day, already marked by a gain of 2%.
Over the week, the performance stands at +2.29%, which alleviates the 8% decline recorded over one month without erasing it entirely. Among the European telecommunications stocks tracked, Telefonica gains 1.96% and Deutsche Telekom 1.52%, following monthly declines of 8.76% and 9.92%. The observation holds for the charts, not for a common cause.
A half-year that raised annual targets, and an undersea cable in the pipeline
During the publication of H1 2026, on July 28, 2026, Orange had raised its annual targets, highlighting a 13.9% revenue growth in Africa and the Middle East. Among the points of concern cited on this occasion are the 3.1% decline in Orange Business and net debt of €35.7 billion, following the acquisition of exclusive control of MasOrange. On the projects side, Orange, Equitix and MDM announced on October 14 the creation of PISCES Cable System Limited, tasked with building a 3,125 km cable between Ireland and continental Europe, co-financed by the European Union. On the technical side, the next zone to monitor is the MA50 at €15.14, situated 3.90% above the current price.
