Orange stock breaks through its support at €14.40 and extends its decline
Pressure continues to mount on the telecommunications operator's shares, which lost ground again on Wednesday morning while the CAC 40 traded flat. The downward breach of the €14.40 threshold, tested during the session, illustrates the persistent fragility of a stock that has been accumulating losses for several weeks.
A support broken during the session against a backdrop of a bearish trend extending over three months
Orange fell 1.08% to €14.24 during the session, after breaking through its €14.40 support without managing to recover it. The CAC 40 gained 0.09%, placing the stock among the index's largest declines. The underlying momentum remains heavily downward-oriented: the decline reaches nearly 10% over seven days and exceeds 15% over three months, a deterioration accumulated since the progressive breach of successive technical thresholds last summer.
The price now stands clearly below its three moving averages, with a gap of 7.71% below the MA20 at €15.43, 10.94% below the MA50 at €15.99 and 13.70% below the MA200 at €16.50. The RSI at 29 indicates an oversold configuration, without necessarily signaling an imminent reversal. The nearest resistance remains at €16.41, very far from the current price.

When publishing H1 2026 results on July 28, 2026, the group had raised its annual targets, driven notably by double-digit growth in Africa and the Middle East (+13.9% revenue) and by exclusive 100% control of MasOrange strengthening its foothold in Spain. These positive elements coexist with weaknesses identified at that same time: the Orange Business segment remains down 3.1%, and net debt was brought to €35.7 billion, representing a debt/EBITDAaL ratio of 2.4x. Furthermore, Orange had raised €4.1 billion in bonds on September 8, 2026, in four fixed-rate tranches, to finance its general needs.
More recently, Orange Ventures took a stake in Biolevate, a start-up specializing in process automation for life sciences, an operation announced on September 22, 2026 and accompanied by a collaboration with Orange Business. On the stock market front, the support broken at €14.40 now represents the immediate technical reference to monitor, while the resistance zone at €16.41 remains out of reach in the current configuration.
