Renault Group Reports 3.2% Growth in Global Sales in 2025
The French automaker sold 2.337 million vehicles worldwide in 2025, according to a statement released this Tuesday. This growth is based on international performance and the acceleration of the electrification of its range.
Renault Brand Performance
The Renault brand sold 1,628,030 vehicles worldwide in 2025, marking a 3.2% increase from the previous year, the group reports. Passenger car sales rose by 10.0%. In Europe, the brand ranks second in the passenger and commercial vehicle market, driven by a 7.4% increase in passenger vehicle sales. This performance is based on a dual strategy of electrification, according to the statement. On one hand, hybrid sales increased by 17.0%, reaching about 287,000 units, which represents 38.4% of the brand's passenger vehicle sales. On the other hand, electric vehicle sales surged by 72.2%, with 151,939 units sold. The Renault 5 E-Tech electric ranks second among electric cars in the European market for private customers. Electric vehicles now account for 20.2% of the brand's passenger car sales. However, the commercial vehicle segment saw a decline of 21.1%, with 244,927 units registered. The group attributes this decline to a shrinking European market by 8.3%, the gradual discontinuation of the Express, and the gradual ramp-up of the new Master. Outside Europe, Renault brand sales grew by 11.7%, representing 38% of total volumes, notably due to performances in Latin America, South Korea, and Morocco.
Dacia Brand Achievements
The Dacia brand recorded 697,408 sales in 2025, up 3.1% from 2024, thus crossing the 10 million vehicles sold mark since 2004, according to the group. In Europe, the brand registered 601,765 vehicles, a 2.9% increase. Dacia holds a 7.9% market share in the European market for passenger vehicles sold to private customers, ranking second in this channel. This performance is supported by its five flagship models, particularly the Sandero, which becomes the best-selling passenger vehicle in Europe across all channels, the statement indicates. The Bigster, launched in the second quarter of 2025, positions itself as the best-selling C-SUV to private customers in Europe in the second half of 2025. The Spring becomes for the first time the best-selling electric vehicle in the A-segment across all channels. Electrification of the range is accelerating with a doubling of hybrid sales, which increased by 121.7% thanks to the Duster and Bigster. Hybrids now represent 19.2% of the brand's total passenger vehicle sales. One in four Dacia vehicles sold is electrified, twice as many as in 2024, according to the group.
Alpine Brand Surpasses Milestones
The Alpine brand surpassed 10,000 registrations for the first time in 2025, with 10,970 units, marking a growth of 139.2%, the statement indicates. This performance was driven by strong results in European markets, particularly in France, the United Kingdom, and Germany. The Alpine A110 confirms its leadership in the two-seater sports coupe category with 2,681 units sold. The launch of the Alpine A290 also contributed to this momentum with 8,198 units sold. The Alpine A390, a new sports fastback launched at the end of 2025, is expected to support the brand's expansion in 2026, according to the group. Alpine's international footprint has strengthened with the opening of 15 new sales points, bringing the total to 169 Alpine Store and Atelier Alpine in 25 countries. This growth momentum is expected to continue in 2026, the manufacturer indicates. For the entire group, Renault Group sold 2.337 million vehicles in 2025, marking a third consecutive year of growth, supported by international sales and the electrification of its range.
