Strongest CAC 40 gainers: Orange share rebounds 2% after -9.5% in one month
The telecom operator's share is rising again in a Parisian market slightly oriented toward buying. This rebound revives a security that is evolving well below its medium-term moving averages, after several weeks of decline. The movement exceeds that of the index and places Orange at the top of today's rankings.
A rebound of more than 2% that does not erase the decline of the last month
The Orange share gains 2.21% to €14.33 during the session, while the CAC 40 advances by 0.29%. This increase places it among the strongest in the CAC 40. It comes after a drop of 9.34% over one month, which today's rebound merely alleviates. Over three months, the security is still down 13%.
European telecom stocks are advancing in the same direction today: Deutsche Telekom gains 2.85%, Telecom Italia 2.52% and Telefónica 2.26%. This parallel of curves is an observation of the session. All three securities also show a decline of approximately 10% or more over one month.
The price moves back above its 20-day MA, but the 50-day MA remains approximately 5.5% above the price
On the technical side, the security places itself slightly above its 20-day moving average (€14.19, spread of +0.95%), whereas it remained below this mark over the recent period. The 50-day MA, at €15.16, is approximately 5.5% above the price. The RSI at 40 remains neutral. The support at €13.71 has not been approached.
On the fundamentals side, the publication of H1 2026 on July 28, 2026 showed double-digit growth in Africa and the Middle East (+13.9% revenue for the half-year), accompanied by a raise in the group's confidence for the year. The announcement of the PISCES submarine cable between Ireland and continental Europe, on October 14, completes the group's recent news. The resistance at €15.96 remains the next bullish level on the chart.
