Vallourec Reports Strong Results in Q4 2025 and Enhances Shareholder Return Policy
The seamless tubular solutions specialist recorded an operating gross result at the upper end of its forecast range in the last quarter of 2025. The company also announced a significant increase in its shareholder payouts for 2026.
Robust Financial Performance in Q4 2025
Vallourec concluded the fourth quarter of 2025 with an operating gross result positioned at the higher level of its forecast range. The operating gross margin for the quarter was established at 21%. The company converted over 80 percent of its operating gross result into cash, thereby confirming the continuous improvement in its working capital management and operational efficiency. These quarterly results come after a year 2025 marked by a distribution of over 370 million euros to shareholders, enabling the group to achieve a positive net cash position in December 2025.
Increased Shareholder Returns Planned for 2026
Vallourec aims to return approximately 650 million euros to shareholders from January to August 2026, which represents an increase of nearly 280 million euros compared to 2025. This policy is based on a balanced distribution combining share buybacks, which limit dilution related to warrants, and a targeted interim dividend of 1.75 euros per share to be paid in August 2026. The company also achieved its goal of zero net debt by the end of 2024 and paid a significant dividend in 2025 for the first time in ten years. The three major rating agencies have all assigned an Investment Grade rating to the group, recognizing its continuous profitability improvement and financial resilience.
Forecast for Early 2026 and Strategic Investments
The company's operating gross result is expected to be between 165 and 195 million euros in the first quarter of 2026. For 2026, Vallourec will focus on profitable growth supported by targeted investments in research and development and capital. The group is investing in enhancing its high-value-added production capabilities, including a new high-torque threading line in the United States and the development of its innovative coating processes. Vallourec announced a partnership with XGS Energy in advanced geothermal energy and a memorandum of understanding with Baker Hughes in hydrogen. On the American market, recent order intakes remain strong despite a slight drop in market prices. Activity remained moderate in international markets in the second half of 2025, with signs of acceleration observed in the Middle East.
