27.5% decline in one month for Inventiva shares, which slip another 2.5%
The Burgundy-based biotech specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases is falling back midday, within an SBF 120 itself in decline. The stock remains far from its medium-term benchmarks, just days after giving up a large portion of its latest rebound.
A support level at €2.77 almost touched, after a month of prolonged decline
The Inventiva share loses 2.35% to €2.91 in trading, barely above its support at €2.77, approximately 4.8% lower. The stock loses nearly 28% over one month and nearly 12% over one week. It is trading significantly below its three moving averages: the gap reaches 7.32% with the 20-day MA at €3.14, and over 32% with the 200-day MA at €4.28. The RSI at 38 is approaching the oversold zone (threshold of 30), signaling increasing weakness before potential extreme oversold conditions.
In the SBF 120, the stock ranks among the largest declines, while the index loses 0.77%. Based on available disclosures, two funds combined hold 1.14% of capital in short positions, a position that emerged within a month. This level remains modest: it signals downward-positioned players without, on its own, reflecting a massive loss of confidence.
Cash reserves of €166.1 million that do not yet cover the 2027 horizon
In the first half of 2026, published on July 30, the company recorded no revenue, compared to €4.5 million a year earlier. Among the risks mentioned on this occasion is a cash horizon limited to the end of the second quarter 2027 without additional financing. On the opportunities side, the biotech highlights the €103 million Equity offering and the €75 million financing operation announced on June 2, 2026, including a tranche C that could bring up to €20 million.
Its cash reserves reached €166.1 million on June 30, before Phase 3 NATiV3 results. The stock is listed in Paris (ordinary share, eligible for PEA) and on Nasdaq in the form of ADS, at a ratio of one ADS for one share: it is the same company on two exchanges. The level of €2.77 remains the closest technical reference point in today's data.
