+43.5% in three months: Alten stock gains another 2% during trading session
The engineering consulting specialist rebounds further this Wednesday, in a declining Paris market. The stock extends a rally that has positioned it well above all of its moving averages and brings it closer to a closely monitored resistance level.
A stock at €80.05, positioned above its moving averages
The Alten stock gains 2.17% to €80.05 during trading, while the CAC 40 declines 0.38% and the SBF 120 falls 0.34%. Over the quarter, the stock shows a gain of 43.33%, contrasting with a decline of 1.42% over the week. The price is 8.62% above its 20-day moving average and 23% above its 200-day moving average, a spread that reflects the magnitude of the rebound since summer.
The €82 resistance level is only 2.4% away from the current price: the stock had broken through it at the end of September before pulling back, making it the natural threshold for this trading session. The RSI at 59 remains neutral and leaves room before any overbought zone.
Between share buybacks and high interest rate context on French debt
Alten is conducting a share buyback program: €46 million were repurchased over twelve months, representing 1.6% of market capitalization, according to the latest disclosure read on September 23. This support is added to the return to organic growth observed in the first half of 2026, published on September 25, with margins and free cash flow increasing. The Paris market is evolving in a context of tension on French debt: the latest Bank of France reading, on October 6, places the 10-year OAT at 4.72%, with a spread of 1.27 percentage points against the Bund. Going forward, the level to monitor remains the €82 resistance, above a support level situated at €66.10.
