Advicenne shares plummet, down over 46% in one week
The pharmaceutical company specializing in nephrology recorded another severe decline on Wednesday, following the withdrawal of its application for U.S. approval of ADV7103. The move extends a very difficult week for the stock, which remains well below its moving averages.
FDA withdrawal request amplifies weekly share decline to nearly 47%
The Advicenne share fell 10.25% to €0.928 during the session, after closing the previous day at €1.034. The stock thus remains far below its support level of €1.03, a threshold the stock had tested downward during the September 1st session to a low of €0.99, before recovering above it by end of session. Over the week, losses exceeded 46%, a decline that reflects the magnitude of the shock caused by the August 31st announcement.
That day, Advicenne ended its approval process in the United States for ADV7103, its treatment for primary distal renal tubular acidosis, citing additional work required in manufacturing and quality control. The medication remains approved and marketed in several markets outside the United States, but the closure of the American pathway deprives the company of a major commercial outlet. The quarterly decline now stands at 25.52%, and over twelve months, losses exceed 27%.
Deteriorated technical configuration with RSI in marked oversold territory
On the indicator side, the technical picture remains highly deteriorated. The price at €0.928 sits far below all three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €1.63, the 50-day MA at €1.58, and the 200-day MA at €1.57, with negative gaps exceeding 40% in each case. The RSI at 28 signals a pronounced oversold configuration, consistent with the amplitude of the weekly decline. Monthly volatility, at 33.71, reflects the intensity of recent movements.
The nearest identified resistance sits at €1.81, approximately double the current price. In this context, the operational dynamics already underway by the company provide a benchmark: in July 2026, Advicenne announced net revenue more than doubled at €2.7 million in the first half of 2026, and in June 2026, the company secured €3.8 million in bonds to extend visibility through 2027. These fundamentals remain in the background as the stock seeks to stabilize around the current level, well below all its moving averages.
