Airbus Secures Order for Two C295s from the Royal Thai Air Force
The Royal Thai Air Force has ordered two Airbus C295 tactical transport aircraft, which will enhance the country's defense capabilities. The two aircraft will be delivered starting in the first half of 2029.
The two C295s ordered by the Royal Thai Air Force will be operated by the 46th Wing Division from the Phitsanulok Air Base. These tactical transport aircraft will join the three C295s already operated by the Royal Thai Army since 2016, which are used for cargo and troop transport missions. In transport configuration, the C295s can accommodate 70 soldiers or 49 parachutists, take off and land on unprepared runways, perform cargo and parachutist drops, as well as conduct medical evacuations.
