Airbus share breaks through its 198 € resistance level and gains nearly 3%
The European manufacturer accelerates mid-morning, in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock benefits from a double target increase and analyst attention on its accounts published Wednesday.
A resistance breakthrough during trading, then a pullback just below 198.82 €
Airbus share gains 2.91% to 197.50 € during trading, placing it among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, which advances 1.08%.
The stock broke above its 198.82 € resistance level during the morning, reaching a high of 199.60 €, before slipping slightly below. This movement establishes it above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at 191.92 € (2.91% variance), the 50-day MA at 195.05 € (1.26%) and the 200-day MA at 188.24 € (4.92%).
Over one week, performance remains close to flat (-0.64%) and the stock still declines nearly 7% over three months, so today's rebound merely narrows this gap.
Two analyst ratings raised, following mixed nine-month results
Two price target increases occurred today: JP Morgan raised its target from 245 to 250 €, with an overweight rating, while Jefferies raised from 200 to 210 € and maintains a hold rating. These targets follow the publication of nine-month results on October 28: revenue of 50,645 M€ (+7%), net profit of 3,587 M€ (+36%) and net commercial aircraft orders more than doubled at 1,105 aircraft.
The third quarter in isolation shows revenue down 2%, and net cash returned to 7.0 billion euros at end-September compared to 12.2 billion at end-2025. The next technical level to watch remains the 198.82 € resistance, already touched during trading this morning.
