Airbus shares among the biggest gainers on the CAC 40, up 5% over one month
The European aircraft manufacturer is advancing mid-morning, in a well-oriented CAC 40. The stock is approaching a medium-term technical benchmark, a few days after publishing its nine-month accounts.
A rebound that reclaims the 20-day moving average and targets resistance
Airbus shares gained 1.33% to €194.96 and ranked among the biggest gainers on the CAC 40, which rose 0.49%. The price is trading above the 20-day moving average (€192.23, a gap of 1.42%) and close to the 50-day moving average (€194.60). It also remains above the 200-day moving average (€188.08).
The stock has gained 1.3% over the week and 5.04% over one month, but still lost 3.58% over three months. The next upper benchmark is resistance at €198.82, which the stock had broken on October 29, with an RSI at 52.
Nine-month earnings up, orders more than double
Airbus published nine-month accounts on October 28 showing growth: revenue of €50,645 million (+7%), adjusted EBIT of €4,495 million (+8%) and net income of €3,587 million (+36%). Net orders for commercial aircraft more than doubled to 1,105 aircraft, compared with 514 a year earlier.
During this release, the group highlighted the ramp-up of the A220, targeted at 13 aircraft per month in 2028, and that of the A320, expected at 70-75 per month by the end of 2027.
Among the risks cited were fluctuations between the euro and the dollar. Its American rival Boeing, for its part, fell 0.64% on Friday on Wall Street. For investors following the stock, the €198.82 resistance remains the technical level to watch.
