Alten stock breaks through its €82 resistance and holds above during the session
The engineering consulting specialist extends its recovery in a Paris market barely oriented upward. The stock is now well established above all of its moving averages, following a quarter of strong growth.
A resistance at €82 broken during the session, the €85 level in the crosshairs
Alten gains 2.65% to €83.35, after breaking through its €82 resistance during the session and holding above it. The stock is up 6.52% over one week, while the SBF 120 only gains 0.14%, widening the gap with the index. The price is 11.45% above the 50-day moving average at €74.79, and 27.80% above the 200-day moving average at €65.22.
The next round level is at €85, which the stock has not yet tested. Over one month, the gain reaches 19.67%, and the RSI at 62 remains far from the overbought zone. This session extends the one on October 9, when the stock had already gained more than 3% above its moving averages.
Return to organic growth and share buybacks in the background of the rebound
The rebound was triggered following the publication of the first half 2026 results, published on September 25. The group showed a return to organic growth, with rising margins and free cash flow, and raised its annual guidance. Since that meeting, the stock has gained nearly 57% over three months. Analysts have also revised their targets, as detailed in the analysts' consensus.
The group, led by Simon Azoulay and based in Boulogne-Billancourt, is also conducting a share buyback program: €53 million were repurchased over twelve months, representing 1.8% of market capitalization, according to the latest statement read on September 23. During the session, the CAC 40 gains 0.12% despite a contested 2027 budget at the Assembly and a 10-year OAT rate of 4.86%. The next monitored level is the €85 threshold.
