Among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, Air Liquide stock gains 1.74%
In a declining CAC 40, the industrial gas group stands out as an exception. Its strategic plan, presented this Monday, sets the framework for investments and capital allocation through 2030.
A Beyond plan providing €40 billion in allocated capital and €4 billion in buybacks
Air Liquide stock rises 1.74% to €173.12 during the session, while the CAC 40 falls 1.1% and the SBF 120 around 1%. The stock is among the strongest gainers in the index. It is supported by the Beyond strategic plan, presented on October 5, 2026. The group provides for increasing industrial investments and capital allocation exceeding €40 billion.
It also announces, for the first time, a share buyback program of €4 billion, with a commitment to recurring ROCE above 11% by 2030. On the analyst side, the consensus is to buy. CIC Market Solutions confirmed the same day its buy recommendation with a price target of €200, approximately 15.5% above the current price. From the perspective of analysts, the stock therefore has room for gains.
A stock above its three moving averages, at its resistance level of €173.18
The stock is trading above its MA20 (€167.74, 3.21% difference) and its MA200 (€162.22, 6.72% difference). It has also just hit its resistance at €173.18, or €0.06 above the current price. Today's gain extends a 3.36% gain over the week, but the stock remains down nearly 4% over three months.
The annual and monthly performances stand at +10.92% and +1.57%. The next technical level is therefore this resistance at €173.18.
