The proceeds from the sale will be returned to ArcelorMittal's shareholders through its ongoing share buyback program. After the settlement of the transaction, ArcelorMittal will retain approximately 17.3% of Vallourec's capital and will maintain a seat on Vallourec's board of directors. The settlement is expected around May 21, 2026. ArcelorMittal has committed to a 90-calendar-day lock-up period on its remaining stake from the settlement date, subject to customary exceptions.
