Atos becomes SAP's sovereign cloud partner in Europe

A partnership covering four European countries
Atos has obtained the status of sovereign cloud partner for SAP, a positioning it presents as linked to its digital sovereignty strategy. This partnership focuses on the design, deployment and operation of sovereign cloud environments for organizations using SAP's cloud and AI solutions.
The partnership currently covers Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with validations underway for other geographies.
Services backed by the group's SAP expertise
SAP services provided by Atos include sovereign transformation models enabling customers to adopt cloud and AI while maintaining governance and operational control. The group highlights its network of data centers, its hosting references and its cybersecurity expertise, particularly in the public sector and financial services.
Florin Rotar, CTO of Atos Group, stated that "this recognition reinforces Atos's strategy aimed at large-scale sovereign digital transformation". Martin Merz, president of Sovereign Cloud at SAP, specified that this partnership expands "the reach of SAP Sovereign Cloud".
A long-standing relationship between Atos and SAP
Atos is a long-standing SAP platinum partner and recently received the SAP Golden Certificate, marking 20 consecutive years of Global Operations partner certification. According to the press release, Atos is the second of only two SAP partners to have obtained certification of their operations at the global level as well as the SAP Golden Certificate.
