Atos Group share rebounds above €26 and climbs nearly 4%
The IT services group extends its rebound following the publication of its third quarter results. The stock ranks among the top gainers on a stable Paris market, as short positions increase.
A 30-session high breached, now serving as support
Atos Group gains 3.84% to €26.48 in mid-morning trading and ranks among the strongest increases on the SBF 120, while the index remains virtually unchanged.
During the session, the stock broke above its €26 resistance level, its highest point over the last 30 sessions, and is maintaining this level. This threshold now serves as support, while the price remains 15.78% above its 20-day moving average (€22.87).
The movement extends a weekly gain of 15.94%, following third quarter results published on October 21. The group posted revenue of €1,642 million and a limited organic decline of 2.4%, with a first positive cash generation since the Genesis plan.
Over one year, the stock has still declined 48.3%, and the 200-day moving average (€34.73) remains more than 23% above the current price.
Short positions up 1.17 points in one month
Net short positions total 4.38% of capital, distributed among five funds, according to filed declarations, the latest dated October 23. They increased by 1.17 points over thirty days, following 3.21% a month earlier.
A level of this magnitude shows that a significant portion of capital remains positioned downward, even though this increase comes after a rebound lasting several days.
On the activity front, Atos presented Codex on October 26, an artificial intelligence platform for regulated sectors. On October 27, its Eviden brand declined this offering for naval warfare with the Astra-Las assistant. The next technical resistance level is located at €45.22.
