Atos Opens Sovereign Cybersecurity Center in Dubai with Local Partner
The restructuring IT group continues its development in the Middle East with the opening of a security operations center in the United Arab Emirates, designed to locally host its clients' data.
A Locally Operated Center for Data Sovereignty
Atos announced on September 17, 2026 the opening, in partnership with Gulf Cyberfender Hub (GCH), of a new security operations center (SOC) based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The center aims to provide sovereign security operations with local data hosting.
According to the press release, it is intended to help organizations strengthen their resilience against regional threats and those related to artificial intelligence, while supporting compliance with UAE Information Assurance Standards and requirements of the National Electronic Security Authority.
Government Entities and Critical Infrastructure Operators in Focus
The SOC is intended for government entities, critical infrastructure operators and businesses, with the objective of enabling them to retain greater control over their data and security operations within the United Arab Emirates.
The center will rely on advanced analytics, automation and AI-driven operations to accelerate threat detection, investigation and response. Atos indicates it is using agentic AI to reduce mean time to detection (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR).
Integration into Atos' Global Network of Centers
The UAE center will collaborate with the Atos Global Threat Research Center to provide threat intelligence tailored to the local and regional landscape. It will also be connected to Atos' global SOC network.
GCH, a technology consulting firm based in Dubai, brings its regional capabilities, while Atos provides its international cybersecurity expertise. Daniele Principato, head of Atos' international markets, stated his desire to combine "local control" and "global intelligence" in an environment of threats considered complex and rapidly evolving.
