Bolloré: stock gains 1.5% despite 9.5% decline over the quarter
The stock recovers in early afternoon trading, in a Paris market oriented downward. This daily gain comes after several difficult weeks for the security, which had published its half-yearly results in mid-September.
A price of €3.75 that rises above the 200-day moving average
Bolloré shares gain 1.68% to €3.75, while the CAC 40 falls 0.58% and the SBF 120 declines 0.5%. This gain places the stock among the strongest gainers of the index, ahead of most major stocks in the session. The price is now above the 200-day moving average (€3.69, spread of +1.68%) and the 20-day moving average (€3.68%).
It remains, however, below the 50-day moving average at €3.79, representing a gap of 1%. The stock had broken its support level at €3.63 on September 17, two days after the half-yearly results, and is still down 9.5% over three months. The 3.9% gain over seven days moderates this decline without offsetting it.
Mixed half-yearly results and a projected P/E ratio of 37 times earnings
On September 16, the group published its first-half 2026 accounts: revenue up 8% at constant scope and exchange rates, driven by Bolloré Energy whose adjusted operating income increased by 77%. On the other hand, contributions from Canal+ and UMG declined, and the group announced the end of production of its Bluebus electric buses. According to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is trading at approximately 37 times the earnings of the current fiscal year. The next technical reference point is the 50-day moving average at €3.79, which the price has not yet recovered.
