Dassault Aviation Shares Drop 2.5%, in the Red with Defense
The Saint-Cloud aircraft manufacturer significantly retreats at mid-session, following the trend of other French defense stocks. The movement occurs as UBS revised its analysis on the stock this Thursday, lowering its price target. The stock is sinking below several medium-term technical benchmarks.
UBS Lowers Target to €335 and Shifts to Neutral on the Stock
UBS has reduced its price target on Dassault Aviation from €345 to €335, accompanying its new target with a neutral rating. Based on the mid-session price of €289.20, the revised target offers a theoretical appreciation potential of about 16%. However, the consensus among analysts remains to be monitored, as UBS's opinion comes during a downturn in the Parisian defense sector, where Thales also loses 3% at the same time. The revision follows a brief already covering a decline in the stock, with Dassault having fallen 2.5% the previous day in a tense market.
A Decline that Breaks Through Three Key Moving Averages
The stock is down 2.69% at €289.20, ranking it among the steepest declines in the SBF 120, closely following Thales. The decline simultaneously breaks through the MM20 (€297.64), MM50 (€294.33), and MM200 (€300.59), with the price respectively 2.84%, 1.74%, and 3.79% below these benchmarks. The RSI at 50 remains neutral, indicating no particular extremes.
The three-month performance shows a decline of -14.5%, while the stock limits its annual decline to less than 2%. The identified support at €283.60, about 2% below the current price, becomes the next technical benchmark to watch.
