Dassault Systèmes Completes Acquisition of ArisGlobal for $1.8 Billion
The software publisher intends to bring together BIOVIA, Medidata and ArisGlobal on a single platform covering the full drug lifecycle, from scientific discovery to regulatory monitoring and safety oversight. It has entrusted its management to a new executive brought in from outside the group.
Price Adjustment of Up to $200 Million, Subject to Conditions
Dassault Systèmes announced on October 28, 2026 the completion of the acquisition of ArisGlobal, a publisher of software platforms dedicated to regulatory affairs, product safety, quality and medical affairs for laboratories. The closing took place.
The price paid at closing amounts to $1.8 billion, paid in cash. An additional payment of up to $200 million may be added to this amount, conditional on achieving revenue milestones related to artificial intelligence over several years.
This adjustment is therefore not guaranteed to the sellers: its payment depends on the future performance of the acquired business. The final cost of the transaction will thus depend on ArisGlobal's commercial trajectory in AI.
According to the press release, ArisGlobal has more than 200 clients, half of which are among the top 50 global biopharmaceutical groups. Its platform, designed natively around AI, serves as a unique repository for regulatory, safety, quality and medical affairs data.
ArisGlobal remains led by Aman Wasan, who will continue his role as Chief Executive Officer within the group. It is integrated into Dassault Systèmes' Life Sciences and Healthcare sector, alongside the BIOVIA and Medidata brands.
With this acquisition, the group intends to bring together on its native AI 3D UNIV+RSES platform the entire therapeutic cycle: scientific discovery, clinical development, manufacturing and real-world patient outcomes. ArisGlobal adds product regulatory and safety management to this.
For Pascal Daloz, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors, life sciences are reaching "their own inflection point," after years in which discovery, clinical development, production and patient results operated separately. According to him, each stage gains in value when it is linked to the others.
Ashwini Zenooz Takes the Lead of the Life Sciences and Healthcare Division
To oversee this entity, Dassault Systèmes has appointed Ashwini Zenooz to a newly created position: Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector. She joins the executive committee and reports directly to Pascal Daloz.
Her scope covers the three brands in the division: Medidata, BIOVIA and ArisGlobal. She is responsible for strategy, integration, market launch and sales, as well as strategic partnerships with players in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics and digital health.
Her mission, as defined by the group, consists of developing platform adoption among industry players. The integration of ArisGlobal thus falls directly under her mandate.
A trained physician, Ashwini Zenooz is a radiologist and holds an active medical license in California. She has held management positions at Salesforce, Commure and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
Her experience covers telehealth, precision medicine, mental health and applied AI. She graduated from the University of Florida, where she completed an accelerated medical curriculum. This profile combines clinical practice and software publishing experience, two fields that the division seeks to bridge.
A Strategy Pursued for More Than a Decade in Life Sciences
The acquisition is part of a strategy pursued for more than a decade in life sciences. BIOVIA has developed expertise in scientific modeling and simulation, while Medidata claims 42,000 clinical trials and 13 million patients.
In 2020, the publisher had expressed the ambition to extend its digital twins from the world of objects to that of living organisms, by combining biosciences, materials sciences and information sciences on its 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The group claims 390,000 customers in total.
The announcement comes a few days after the collaboration with Vertiv, presented on October 22, 2026 in Berlin, focused on simulating AI factories before their construction. On the stock market, the share price showed a decline of 27% over one year as of October 2, 2026, then a rise of 7% in one week as of October 9, 2026.
