Thales stock among CAC 40's best performers, +2%
The defense electronics group is staging a clear recovery during the session, in a well-oriented Paris market. This rebound comes just days after the publication of its quarterly orders and confirmed objectives for the fiscal year.
A stock above its 20-day moving average but still below its long-term averages
The Thales stock gains 2.15% to €232.90 and ranks among the strongest gains of the CAC 40, which advances 0.83%. The price is 3.2% above its 20-day moving average (€225.60), but remains below the 50-day moving average (€234.72) and the 200-day moving average (€241.63), the latter being 3.6% above the current price. The stock has advanced only marginally over one month, after losing 8.1% over one year.
The MACD, whose histogram has returned to positive territory, supports this recovery. Resistance at €240.90 is located above the 200-day moving average, while support at €215.70 remains distant.
Orders up 15% over nine months supporting the fundamentals
On October 22, Thales published order intake of €19,122 million over nine months, with organic growth of 15%, for revenue of €16,422 million (+8.1%). The group confirmed all its 2026 objectives. Among the risks cited during this 9M 2026 publication is the impact of the Middle East conflict on aircraft avionics after-sales and air traffic, while the Space division benefited from new major orders, notably the IRIS² constellation. The stock is thus trading at approximately the same level where it stood before these announcements, with -0.5% over the week.
