Dassault Systèmes Shares Break Through €20.28 Resistance, Gain Nearly 3%
The stock of the Vélizy-based 3D software specialist picks up pace in mid-afternoon and is among the top gainers in the CAC 40. The session marks a technical breakthrough that had been anticipated for several weeks, in a well-oriented Parisian market.
Breaking Through €20.28 Propels the Stock into the Top Three of the CAC 40
Dassault Systèmes' stock is up 3.23% at €20.63 in mid-afternoon, among the strongest gains in the CAC 40 (+0.61%). The stock has broken through its €20.28 resistance during the session and remains above it, extending the momentum that began in mid-May with the breach of a first technical threshold. The price is now well above its 50-day moving average (€18.47, +11.7%), while the RSI at 60 remains below the overbought threshold. The 200-day moving average, at €23.02, remains the next medium-term hurdle: it is still 10.4% above the current price and highlights the extent of recovery needed after February's drop, which continues to weigh on the annual performance (-39.6%). Over three months, the stock now shows a gain of more than 18%, and 5.2% for the week.

Today's rebound follows the publication of first-quarter results at the end of April, which confirmed the annual targets. During the 2025 results announcement (on February 13, 2026), the group had set a revenue growth target for 2026 of between 3% and 5%, a non-IFRS operating margin between 32.2% and 32.6%, and a diluted EPS between €1.30 and €1.34. The management also highlighted the ramp-up of industrial AI, backed by the partnership with NVIDIA, as among the growth drivers. The short-term schedule revolves around the dividend: ex-dividend date on May 27, payment on May 29. Investors will keep an eye on the 200-day moving average at €23.02, the next technical threshold after breaking through €20.28.
