Ebusco postpones October salary payments due to incomplete financing
The Dutch electric bus manufacturer stated on 3 November 2026 that its discussions with a group of reference shareholders regarding short-term financing were continuing, but were taking longer than it had anticipated. The group had 230 full-time employees as of 30 September 2026.
A salary delay linked to prolonged discussions
In this press release, issued at 8:30 a.m. and presented as inside information within the meaning of Article 7(1) of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, Ebusco states that it was forced to defer the payment of October salaries. The company says it deeply regrets this situation.
This delay stems directly from the negotiation timeline. According to Ebusco, discussions with its shareholders are progressing well, but have not been concluded within the timeframe the management had envisaged.
A financing need flagged as early as 9 October
On 9 October 2026, Ebusco had announced that additional short-term financing was needed to support its operational activities, and that it was in discussions with its shareholders about it.
In this business update, published a few hours before its extraordinary general meeting, the group had indicated that, in the absence of funding for its operating expenses in the following weeks, uncertainty would exist regarding its ability to continue its business. Discussions are now continuing with a group of reference shareholders.
Business continuity as the top priority
Ebusco states that its efforts are entirely focused on preserving the company's business continuity, for the benefit of its employees, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders. The company has committed to informing the market of any relevant developments.
Founded in 2012, the group designs, manufactures and distributes zero-emission buses, which are in service notably in Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich and Barcelona. It has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam since 22 October 2021.
