Eutelsat leads the SBF 120: the stock rises more than 2%
The satellite operator's stock is regaining ground as the Paris Stock Exchange declines, against a backdrop of tension over French debt. This rebound follows an extended bearish phase that leaves the value far from its spring levels.
A rebound of 2.2% that places the stock among the top gainers of the SBF 120
The stock is rising 2.2% to €1.55 while the SBF 120 falls 0.9% and the CAC 40 declines 0.99% during the session. Eutelsat ranks among the strongest gainers in the index, in a market penalized by budgetary uncertainty: the 10-year OAT stands at 4.90% according to the latest Bank of France reading, with a spread against the Bund reaching 1.47 percentage points, the highest level since January 2012. This surge does not change the balance sheet of recent months, with -38.85% over three months and -46.22% over one year. The stock remains below its three moving averages, with the 20-day MA at €1.75 standing 11% above the price, the 50-day MA at €1.90 at 18%, and the 200-day MA at €2.30 at 32%.
A price of €1.55 approaching the €1.53 support level with RSI at 31
The stock is trading near its support level at €1.53, representing a difference of approximately 1.6%. The RSI at 31 reflects the magnitude of the week's decline, at -8.96%, with today's rebound occurring at this level. On the activity front, Eutelsat announced on October 2 the completion of the first batch of 32 OneWeb satellites intended for the renewal of its constellation, built by Airbus Defence and Space for launch by SpaceX.
These satellites are part of a program of 669 satellites in low Earth orbit. The next technical level to monitor remains the support at €1.53.
