Groupe TERA returns to profit in the first half thanks to disposal price adjustments
On October 30, 2026, Groupe TERA published half-year accounts showing a profit, with consolidated net income of €1,374k compared with a loss of €65k a year earlier. This profit relies on the financial result, which includes €3,869k of price adjustments linked to the disposal of the laboratories completed in October 2025.
Operations of the new scope, refocused on sensors and data, show an EBITDA of -€2,110k for revenue of €992k. Cash stood at €2,462k as of June 30, 2026, compared with €17,866k as of December 31, 2025.
Revenue of €992k on a transformed scope
Consolidated revenue for the first half of 2026 reached €992k, compared with €7,124k a year earlier. The company points out that the two figures are not comparable: the laboratory analysis business, which accounted for more than 80% of sales in 2025, was sold in October 2025.
This business now contributes only €40k, compared with €6,072k in the first half of 2025. Within the retained scope, sensors generated €760k, compared with €1,052k, a decline of 28%.
Groupe TERA largely attributes this decline to the continued mobilization of TERA Sensor's teams on finalizing the TCD sensor on silicon, as well as to the reorganization of TERA Tronics. The new data business generated €192k, with no revenue in the first half of 2025.
Operating loss offset by the financial result
According to the company, weak revenue weighs directly on consolidated EBITDA. It stands at -€2,110k, compared with +€397k in the first half of 2025, and the operating result is -€2,569k, compared with -€220k.
The cost base was reduced following the exit from the laboratories: personnel costs fell from €3,465k to €1,282k, and other purchases and external charges fell from €2,213k to €961k.
Total operating expenses decreased by 56% to €3,316k, against operating income of €1,206k.
The return to positive territory comes from the financial result, which stood at €3,790k compared with -€163k a year earlier. It includes €3,869k of price adjustments linked to the disposal of the TERA Environnement and Toxilabo laboratories, completed on October 7, 2025. Consolidated net income thus reaches €1,374k, and net income attributable to the group reaches €1,418k.
Cash of €2,462k and a price adjustment expected in 2027
As of June 30, 2026, the group's cash stood at €2,462k, compared with €17,866k as of December 31, 2025. Management considers that it "remains sufficient to complete our developments, their industrialization and their commercialization".
After the reporting period, Groupe TERA paid on September 30, 2026 a distribution of €1 per share, approved by the general meeting of July 23, 2026. On the same day, the group repaid tranche 1 of the 2023 OCA held by Nexstage, for a nominal amount of €246k.
On the development side, the first TCD sensor prototypes were delivered in October 2026, and about ten demonstrator sites were deployed by TERA Analytics in 2026. Pascal Kaluzny, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, states that "for now, the figures remain modest", and identifies the silicon gas sensor as the group's growth driver.
The 2026 annual results will be published on April 30, 2027 after the close of the markets. Another price adjustment linked to the disposal of the laboratories is also expected in 2027, for an amount the company estimates at around 10% of the disposal price.
