IDS completes acquisition of Edenmap, with founders entering the capital
The group listed on Euronext Access continues building in geographic information: after SIG Carto Services, announced on October 12, 2026, it is integrating Edenmap. The two founders of the target become IDS shareholders.
An acquisition finalized, focused on geomatics and addressing
IDS (Euronext Access, MLIDS) announced the completion of the acquisition of Edenmap in a press release dated from Champs-sur-Marne on October 26, 2026 and distributed on October 27, 2026. The transaction has been completed, not at the stage of an agreement or negotiations. The press release makes no mention of any remaining conditions to be met.
Edenmap is a company based in Nantes, created in 2019 by Stéphane de Goësbriand and Pedro De Oliveira. It operates in France and internationally in three business areas: geomatics, addressing and the development of geographic application solutions. Its profile is directly linked to IDS's "Geomatics / GIS / Development" business unit, which the transaction strengthens according to the group.
The interest of the transaction lies less in its size, which is not quantified in the press release, than in its assembly logic. IDS adds to its business unit application development expertise backed by geographic data. This is therefore not merely an additional production capacity.
The press release also highlights a concrete point: the two companies had undertaken several joint commercial initiatives even before the completion of the transaction. The rapprochement is thus based on commercial collaboration already underway, not on integration to be built from scratch.
Stéphane de Goësbriand takes the helm of the business unit and joins the management committee
The governance aspect constitutes the second element of the announcement. Stéphane de Goësbriand, co-founder of Edenmap, joins IDS's management committee. He also takes on the leadership of the group's "Geomatics / GIS / Development" business unit.
Pedro De Oliveira, the other co-founder, joins IDS's teams. Both founding directors become shareholders of the group. The terms of this entry into capital are not detailed in the announcement.
This structure has a direct effect on the organization: the leadership of the business unit concerned is entrusted to one of the founders of the acquired company. The group thus relies on management from the target to drive the strengthened activity, without superimposing external management on the acquired team.
For IDS's shareholding, the arrival of two new shareholders from an external growth operation widens the circle of operational managers present in the capital. The announcement remains however limited on the financial side: it communicates neither acquisition price, nor revenue of the target, nor headcount.
A second operation in October in geographic information
This acquisition is part of a sequence already underway by the group. On October 12, 2026, IDS had announced the acquisition of SIG Carto Services, a company specializing in geographic information systems. This company had been attached to its cartographic reliability business unit.
This previous transaction opened new territories to the group, particularly in Burgundy and Gironde. It was already accompanied by the entry of the founder of the target into IDS's capital. With Edenmap, the group reproduces this scheme of founder association, this time on its "Geomatics / GIS / Development" business unit.
