LVMH shares climb back above €401.50 and gain 8% over one month
The world's leading luxury group continues its rebound amid a well-oriented session in Paris. It has returned above a technical level of €401.50, which it had previously broken to the downside, a rise also seen among its two major peers.
A €401.50 level reclaimed, but still 12% below the MA200
The stock trades at €408.70 intraday, up 1.79%. It has reclaimed its 30-session high at €401.50, a level now acting as support. This rebound extends a 5.3% gain over the week and places it above its 20-session moving average (MA20) at €389.19, a gap of +5.01%, and its 50-session moving average (MA50) at €402.50, a gap of +1.54%. It nonetheless remains below its 200-session moving average (MA200), at €466.87, which is 12.46% above the current price, a reminder of the scale of the decline over recent months (-16.1% over three months).
The RSI at 62 reflects a measured recovery at this stage. Among CAC 40 stocks, LVMH is gaining less than BNP Paribas or Société Générale, but it is rising more than the index has on average since the open.
Hermès and Kering also rise, but all three remain negative over the quarter
