Rémy Cointreau shares climb 22% in one month and target €52.15
The cognac producer extends its rebound in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock remains well above its moving averages, a few days after publishing its half-year sales.
A rebound that brings the stock back to the foot of its €52.15 resistance
Rémy Cointreau shares gain 1.99% to €51.15 intraday, while the CAC 40 rises 1.54%. The price stands 4.22% above its 20-day moving average (MM20) and 19.26% above its 200-day moving average (MM200), after a 22.13% gain over one month.
The €52.15 resistance is less than 2% away: the stock had broken above it on November 2 before falling back below it the following day. The RSI at 60 leaves room before the overbought zone. Pernod Ricard, another spirits stock, gains 0.29% and shows a 16.63% gain over one month.
BofA raises its target to €46, while short positions held by funds recede
On November 2, BofA Securities raised its price target from €41 to €46, while maintaining its sell rating. This target is 10% below the current price. On the short side, the disclosures reviewed list five funds, representing 4.32% of the share capital sold short.
The level remains high, but it has fallen by 0.55 points in 30 days, after 4.87% one month ago. This decline goes hand in hand with the stock's rise since October.
Half-year sales published on October 28 show organic growth of 2.9% to €510.9 million, and the 2026-27 objectives have been confirmed. At the sector level, cognac exports fell 23.8% in value over the year 2025, according to the FEVS.
