Mexedia Appoints Sara Di Mario to its Board of Directors
Mexedia has announced the co-option of Eng. Sara Di Mario to its board of directors by a vote from the board itself. This appointment follows the resignation of Daniel Gilcher and is part of a process to strengthen the group's governance.
An Aerospace Engineer with Twenty Years of Experience in Renewable Energies
Sara Di Mario is an aerospace engineer with approximately twenty years of experience in the renewable energy sector and energy transition. She is the founder and CEO of Hazel New Energy, a company involved in engineering, administrative permissions, and management of renewable energy plant sites. She also serves as an independent director at PLC S.p.A. Her career includes senior operational roles covering asset management, operations, due diligence, and support for mergers and acquisitions. She has undergone training in corporate governance and sustainable development. Registered with the Order of Engineers of the province of Rome, she was ranked in 2024 among the 'Donne in Classe A' (Women in Class A) by ENEA and the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
Confirmation Pending at the Next General Meeting
Sara Di Mario will serve her term until the next general meeting of shareholders, which will decide on her confirmation in accordance with legal and statutory provisions. The board of directors has verified that she meets the criteria of integrity and independence as defined by Article 148, paragraph 3, of the TUF (Italian Consolidated Law on Finance) and by the recommendations of the Corporate Governance Code. The appointment was approved by the board of statutory auditors.

This co-option is part of Mexedia's strategy to strengthen its governance and enhances, in line with its status as a Società Benefit, expertise in sustainability, operations, and management of extraordinary operations. Eng.
