Nearly 21% erased over the quarter: SPIE stock falls another 2%
The multitechnical services specialist declines sharply mid-session, in a Paris market oriented downward. This session extends a series of declines weighing on the stock since the beginning of summer.
A decline that widens the gap with the three moving averages of the stock
SPIE stock loses 2.12% to €41.64, against an SBF 120 down 1.05%. The stock ranks at the bottom of the index table. The price is below the 20-day moving average (gap of -3.74%), the 50-day moving average (-7.05%) and the 200-day moving average (-12.30%), confirming a bearish trend across all time scales. The support level at €40.84 is now less than 2% away from the price.
Over the quarter, the stock loses nearly 21%, and over the month 4.93%. Net cumulative short positions declared by three funds reach 1.69% of capital, according to available filings. They fell by nearly 2 points in one month, after peaking at 3.67%, a covering movement that failed to prevent the stock from weakening.
Refinanced debt and analysts maintaining their price targets
On the fundamentals side, SPIE launched on September 21 a bond issuance linked to sustainability criteria, then accepted the buyback of 70% of its 2028 ORNANEs, for approximately 388 million euros. The balance will be reimbursed early on October 22. On October 5, the group also announced the acquisition of Clauser, a company with approximately 22 million euros in revenue. On the analyst opinion side, CIC Market Solutions maintains its target at €55. BofA Securities adjusts its target from €63 to €64.
CIC's target stands at approximately 32% above the current price. When first-half 2026 results were published on July 31, management stated it was fully confident in its ability to achieve its annual targets. The support level at €40.84 is the closest technical level.
