Publicis: 5% organic growth in third quarter, annual guidance confirmed
Publicis Groupe published on October 13, 2026 net revenue of 3,808 million euros for the third quarter, compared to 3,529 million euros a year earlier, representing an increase of 7.9% on a reported basis. Organic growth rose from 4.5% in the first quarter to 4.8% in the second, then to 5.0% in the third. Over nine months, it reaches 4.8%, within the annual range of 4.5% to 5% that the group confirmed.
This progression is primarily driven by the "Connected Media" activity, which represents 62% of net revenue. The Technology business (13% of net revenue) remains in slight organic decline globally, despite a return to growth in the United States. At the same time, the balance sheet profile has changed: the group posted net financial debt of 1,598 million euros as of September 30, 2026, compared to net cash of 548 million euros at end 2025.
Third quarter net revenue up 7.9%, of which 5.0% organic
Third quarter gross revenue stood at 4,614 million euros, compared to 4,135 million euros a year earlier, up 11.6%, of which 6.9% organic. On net revenue, the gap between reported growth (7.9%) and organic growth (5.0%) stems from a positive currency effect of 52 million euros and a contribution from acquisitions, net of disposals, of 50 million euros.
By business unit, "Connected Media" recorded organic growth between 5% and 9%, attributed by the group to market share gains, demand for its artificial intelligence-based products and services, and new addressable markets. "Intelligent Creativity", which accounts for 25% of net revenue, advanced in the lower single-digit range, thanks to new client wins and scope extensions with existing clients.
Over nine months, net revenue reached 11,038 million euros, compared to 10,681 million euros, up 3.3% on a reported basis and 4.8% organic. The gap is explained by a negative currency effect of 276 million euros, mainly related to the dollar (1.161 dollars per euro on average, compared to 1.118 a year earlier), partially offset by 137 million euros of contribution from acquisitions.
Growth in all regions except Middle East and Africa, Technology slightly declining
The United States, which represent 59% of third quarter net revenue, grew 4.5% organically, following an increase of 7.1% in the third quarter of 2025. Europe posted organic growth of 4.7%, with 7.7% in Germany, 7.2% in Central and Eastern Europe, and 4.5% in France. The United Kingdom remained broadly flat.
Asia-Pacific advanced 5.4% organically, including 10.6% for China, and Latin America 23.8%. The Middle East and Africa region remains down 1.4% organically, an sequential improvement, with the group citing the conflict in the region.
This same context weighs on the Technology business. It is declining slightly organically at the global level, due to client caution regarding transformation projects that consume capex, absent improved macroeconomic visibility. In the United Kingdom, Publicis Sapient teams work to a significant extent for clients located in the Middle East: excluding Technology, Europe advances 7.7% organically. At the half-year publication on July 16, 2026, the group already cited reduced macroeconomic visibility among its risks. It now anticipates a return to growth globally in the fourth quarter.
Net debt of 1,598 million euros following acquisitions, 2026-2028 objectives confirmed
The group announced several acquisitions during the financial year: Adge.AI in March, 160over90 in April, and Point d'Orgue in August. In May 2026, the group also signed an agreement to acquire LiveRamp, a data collaboration platform. A 500 million euro bond issuance, completed in September, is intended to contribute to the financing of this transaction.
Average net debt over twelve months stood at 1,196 million euros as of September 30, 2026, compared to 957 million euros a year earlier, with available liquidity of 4,189 million euros.
At its half-year publication on July 16, 2026, the group had raised its organic growth target for 2026. It confirmed this guidance of 4.5% to 5%, anticipating a fourth quarter within this range. It targets an operating margin rate slightly above the 18.2% of 2025 and free cash flow of approximately 2.2 billion euros, before working capital changes and on the basis of one euro at 1.161 dollars. For 2027 and 2028, Publicis has maintained its objectives for average annual growth, at constant exchange rates, of at least 7% to 8% for net revenue and 8% to 10% for current earnings per share.
