Randstad share soars 19% and breaks through its €38.24 resistance level
The temporary staffing group surges during the session, above its last blocking zone, after revealing accounts that stand out for their robustness. The movement significantly outpaces that of the Paris indices.
Quarterly results that exceed expectations on earnings per share
Randstad gains 18.9% to €40.82, compared to €34.33 at the previous close, while the CAC 40 advances 0.5%. The stock has broken above its €38.24 resistance during the session and is holding above it, with a price more than 16% above its 20-day moving average. This surge follows the publication of third-quarter results, released this morning: organic revenue per working day increases by 3.9%, after +1.9% in the second quarter and -1.2% a year earlier.
Published revenue reached €6,115 million, compared to €5,810 million in the third quarter 2025. Underlying gross margin declined to 17.8%, from 18.4%, but stable operating expenses pushed the underlying EBITA margin from 3.3% to 3.5%. Diluted underlying earnings per share, at €0.75, exceeds the €0.70 expected on average by analysts.
A stock up 24% over three months, facing a round level at €41
Over the week, the stock has now gained 15.8%, and over three months 24.2%, after being slowed by the €38 zone, which has become support. The next level sits at €41, a round threshold above the current price, with no previous technical resistance. The RSI at 37.75 still reflects the period of decline that preceded this rebound, as the indicator calculation incorporates the weaker sessions from past weeks.
The group also announced in January a share buyback program worth €142 million. This session is taking place in a cautious European market, amid tensions over French debt and oil above $110, while the CAC 40 gains 0.5% at midday.
