Rebirth: ESG Rating Advances from 47 to 56 Points, Driven by Governance
Rebirth S.p.A., an Italian company specializing in real estate development and management, announced on Tuesday a significant improvement in its ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) rating by Cerved Rating agency. This change reflects the increasing integration of sustainability principles into its development strategy.
ESG Rating Increases by 9 Points
Rebirth's ESG rating has progressed from 47 to 56 out of 100, according to the independent evaluation by Cerved Rating published in June 2026. This enhancement positions the company at an average level within the real estate sector and covers all three assessed dimensions.
Enhanced Governance, Social Dimension, and Environmental Commitment
The Governance dimension recorded the most significant increase, moving from 44 to 62 points. This improvement results from the adoption of supervisory and control tools, including an Organizational Model according to standard 231, a Corporate Ethics Code, as well as the strengthening of whistleblowing systems, anti-corruption measures, and conflict of interest management.
The Social dimension improved from 49 to 56 points, reflecting initiatives aimed at employees and local communities. Rebirth highlights its social welfare system, activities carried out by its Foundation, tools for employee engagement and listening, and the absence of accidents or health and safety issues at work.
The Environmental score reached 51 points, reflecting investments in energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies, digitization of business processes, and reduced paper consumption. Rebirth also emphasizes its urban regeneration projects and the renovation of existing built heritage.
Continued Focus on Improvement
Rebirth describes this rating as a step in a structured process of continuous improvement, rather than a final destination. The company intends to strengthen its environmental policies in its supply chain, define measurable sustainability goals for the medium and long term, and consolidate the governance and transparency tools introduced.
