Rémy Cointreau shares break through their €52.15 resistance and extend their rebound
The cognac producer extends its rebound in a well-oriented Parisian market. The session is part of a recovery under way for a month, a few days after the publication of its half-year sales.
A resistance breakout that consolidates a month of rebound
Rémy Cointreau gains 2.86% to €52.10 during the session, after breaking above its €52.15 resistance level. The stock is holding above this threshold, with Rémy Cointreau shares thus ranking among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120, which is up 0.42%.
The RSI at 66 accompanies this move: the rebound is clear, but the stock is not yet in overbought territory.
The gap to the moving averages has widened, with the price 8% above the MM20 and 21.8% above the MM200.
Over one month, the stock gains nearly 24%, while the one-week performance is virtually flat (-0.1%), a sign of a recent pause before this new upward move. Pernod Ricard, another spirits stock, rises 1.42% this Monday and shows +16.9% over one month.
Half-year sales up 2.9% and a sector still under pressure
On October 28, the group published revenue of €510.9 million for the first half, up 2.9% on an organic basis, including +4.2% in the second quarter. The stock had then fallen nearly 6% despite these figures. On this occasion, it confirmed its 2026-27 targets and indicated that it expects a favorable currency effect over the year.
The sector backdrop remains difficult: French cognac exports fell 23.8% in value over 2025, according to the FEVS. On the short-selling side, five funds together hold 4.44% of the capital according to the disclosures consulted, i.e. 0.43 points less than 30 days earlier: selling pressure has eased slightly over the period.
